Russell qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) in 1996.
He trained with KPMG in their London office. He spent three years in their Owner Managed Business department dealing with all aspects of accounting, tax, audit and business planning. This was followed by a two year secondment to one of the management consultancy departments where one of his main roles was business planning for organisations trying to raise finance.
On leaving KPMG, Russell spent three years in commerce, initially in internal audit and then forecasting and budgeting.
He has been a partner in Knox & Eames since 2000.
Outside work Russell is a keen cyclist, is an active member of the gym and enjoys all forms of sport and exercise.

She trained with KPMG in their Edinburgh and London offices. She spent five years in their Owner Managed Business department dealing with all aspects of accounting, tax, audit and business planning. This was followed by a two year secondment to a Corporate Tax department. On leaving KPMG, Su spent 18 months as Financial Controller of an Owner Managed Business.
Su is the founding partner of Knox & Eames.
Outside work Su is a keen runner. She is an active member of a local running club and enjoys taking part in local running races. Since 1998 Su has been treasurer to The Reading Business Club – a local business networking club.
Helen joined Knox & Eames in 2003. She has over 30 years office administration experience. She has worked for a range of businesses including Berkshire County Council, Porshe Cars, Smith’s Crisps, The Bank of Ireland and The Royal Berkshire Hospital. She has experience of manual book-keeping and Quickbooks.
Helen is responsible for client book-keeping work, VAT returns, payroll processing and assisting with Self Assessment tax returns.
Outside work Helen enjoys walking and travel.
Cathy joined Knox & Eames in April 2018. Prior to that she worked for over 30 years in the accounting departments of various Oil and Gas consultancies based in Henley.
Cathy is responsible for client book-keeping work, VAT returns and payroll processing.
Outside of work Cathy enjoys pilates and yoga and foreign travel. Any free time is spent with her two daughters and grandchildren.
Judi joined Knox & Eames in September 2016. She has over 30 years administration experience in a range of businesses including an independent insurance brokers, a theatre marketing company in the West End and was PA to the Chairman of Plc.
Judi is responsible for all aspects of office administration.
Outside work Judi enjoys horse riding, photography and walking her two dogs.

HMRC has outlined the eligibility requirements for the Job Retention Bonus.
On 21 July, the Treasury set out the next steps in its plan to extend Making Tax Digital (MTD) to all businesses and those taxpayers that file self assessment returns.
As the situation regarding COVID-19 develops daily we are doing everything we can to ensure that we keep our staff and clients safe and continue to provide a full service.
Following the latest advice from the UK Government, we have put in place measures to ensure that our business can continue to operate.
We can currently work safely in our office whilst maintaining social distancing. If we need to we can work remotely.
All client meetings will be held by telephone rather than face to face to minimise social contact.
If our resources are compromised due to illness this would mean prioritising workload and keeping those affected updated whilst making every effort to mitigate the impact should this situation arise.
We understand that some of our services, in particular payroll, are vital to our clients and we will be issuing regular emails regarding payroll to all of our payroll clients to ensure that all payrolls are run in time.
This is an evolving situation and we understand that it will present challenges to all of us. We want to reassure you that we are here to help you and will do whatever we can.
